VERNA: The 2nd Pharmaceutical job fair held on Friday got a tremendous response with as many as 1550 people registering for the fair.
Speaking to media, Pramod Sulakhe , Joint Secretary, Verna industry Association (VIA ) and member of Goa pharmaceutical manufacturers association said that plans were afoot to hold such job fairs every year.
” The Goa Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association in collaboration with Department of Labour and Employment, Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Verna Industries Association and Goa IDC had held this job fair for freshers and we got a very good response. We had asked for freshers in the fields of BSc ,BPharm, MSc, MPharm, Engineering Diploma and ITIs with preference being given to local Goans. We got as many as around 1550 registrations and these people have been interviewed already by 15 pharmaceutical companies who had participated in the fair . Our efforts are to ensure that people get opportunities in the Pharmaceutical field and we also plan to hold such job fairs every year in collaboration with Government departments and VIA. We are thankful to the Government for all the support that has been extended to us so that people can get job opportunities and wish all the candidates all the best to all the candidates for the job employment and career opportunities that they may get through these job fairs ” said Sulakhe
