CURCHOREM: Curchorem beat staff while patrolling apprehended three suspects along with two Activa scooters at old curchorem municipality.
Upon enquiry with suspects they disclosed their names as Aftab s/o Tabrej Khan, age 21 yrs r/o 1818, Vasant nagar, near Verlekar nursing home, Sanquelim Goa n/o Ganeshpeth, Dharwad, Hubli,
Santosh s/o Basavaraju Kumar age 20 yrs n/o 20 ward, behind mahatma gandhi college, Kunigal, Tumkur, Karnataka and Aslam s/o Ijaj Shaikh age 18 yrs r/o Pirenwadi, Hunjahatti, Belgavi, Karnataka.
During interrogation they disclosed that they have stolen both scooters from Dharwad, Hubli Karnataka.
Upon verifying it is revealed that both scooters are required in motorcycle theft cases at Alnavar Police station at Dharwad.
Also 1) Infinix 2) Vivo 3) Samsung 4)vivo 5) Oppo mobile phones were found in possession.
Accused Aftab s/o Tabrej Khan, was absconding in Curchorem PS CR No. 01/2023 u/s 324 IPC and accused Santosh s/o Basavaraju kumar was involved in motorcycle theft case at Bicholim.
All three accused persons are arrested u/s 41 Cr.PC. Incharge of Alnavar Police Station have been informed about the same.
Accused handed over to Alnavar PS.
