MARGAO: Margao police today arrests Shabrish Manjrekar (32) r/o Borda Margao for allegedly cheating the victim girl, human trafficking, exploiting victim girl at Margao.
As per information, the accused person mpersonated and misrepresented himself as license contractor/agent to the victim and Mr Shyam Naik R/o Comba Margao
Salcete Goa and further induced the victim girl by calling her on mobile
phone and offering her employment as a caretaker with huge salary, food.
Police said that accused also promised accommodation and took amount of Rs. 25,000/- from the employer Shyam Naik R/o Comba Margao as an advance and did not pay to the victim girl thereby cheated the victim girl of the salary amount for her as wages without her knowledge thus accused person traffic, cheated and
exploited victim girl.
Margao police has registered an offence u/s 319, 143 (1) (f) and 318 of BNS 2023
