SATTARI: Authorities at the Keri checkpost in Sattari seized 400 kilograms of beef and arrested two individuals from Karnataka in connection with the illegal transportation.
The accused have been identified as Wasim Hongal and Suhail Ahmed Attar, both residents of Karnataka.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
The operation was carried out by PSI Khushal Naik, along with Police Constables Prasad Gaonkar and Vaman Raut, who are actively involved in the ongoing inquiry.
Officials have not yet disclosed the origin or intended destination of the seized meat, as the case remains under investigation.
