CANACONA: A 43 year old native of Hubli (Karnataka) died in self accident near Bhaireliwada in Canacona on Saturday.
According to Canacona police, a Ford Figo car bearing registration no.KA04 MR7131 speeding on the service road from Patnem junction (under the MPCBR over-bridge) towards Char-Rasta suddenly came on Manohar Parrikar Canacona Bypass Road (MPCBR), and dashed against a traffic signal pole and fell.
Manjunath Hebseur, 43 occupant of the car died in the mishap while driver Akshay Amger, 26 is seriously injured. The duo from Hubli were reportedly working somewhere on Canacona coast and coming from Patnem were headed to go to Char-rasta, when the mishap happened, informed police.
The self accident took place at about 1.30 pm on Saturday , informed Canacona police..
Police further informed the body is taken to District Hospital Margao and it will be handed over after the conduct of post-mortem, and LPSI Rifa Barretto is conducting the investigation further.-END
