PANJIM: 613 new cases of COVID-19 was reported today Goa. The total tally now stands at 25,511.
As per DHS bulletin 446 people recovered on today. 20,094 people have been declared as recovered.
The mortality graph continued to soar and touched 315- mark as another eleven positive patients succumbed to the virus today.
State’ total confirmed case count reached 25,511 with 613 new cases being reported today. The day also saw 446 positive patients being declared cured, thereby taking the tally of recovered patients to 20,094.
As many as 11 patients with co-morbid condition succumbed to the infection today of which nine were undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and hospital (GMC) while three died in ESI Hospital, Margao.
The deceased includes 27 year old from Bicholim, 68 year old from Margao, 83 year old from Paroda, 82 year old from Vasco, 82 year old from Quepem, 34 year old from Baga-Calangute, 52 year old from St Cruz, 55 year old from Dabolim, 90 year old from Mapusa, 79 year old from Porvorim and 72 year old from Amona-Bicholim.
The oldest 90 year old patient from Khorlim-Mapusa had suffered head injury and was later tested positive
In all 1,900 samples were tested of which 613 were tested positive, he said.
In all eleven people died on Tuesday taking the death toll to 315 in the coastal state.
