PERNEM: Around 620 NCC cadets from various educational institutions across Goa participated in a 5-km Unity Run organised by 1 Goa Naval NCC Unit to mark Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on October 31, 2026.
The programme was held with patriotic fervour at Sawalwada Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, Pernem, with the objective of spreading the message of unity, solidarity and national integration among young citizens.
The celebrations commenced with the 5-km run, in which cadets participated enthusiastically. The run was followed by the administration of the National Unity Pledge, reaffirming the cadets’ commitment to preserving the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
The occasion also provided an opportunity to remember the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose birth anniversary is observed as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.
Through such initiatives, 1 Goa Naval NCC Unit continues to inspire young citizens to uphold the NCC motto of “Unity and Discipline” and contribute towards building a strong, united and progressive India.
