Margao: A 66-year-old man, identified as Manohar Kerkar, a resident of Aquem, Margao, was brought dead to the South District Hospital in Margao on Monday morning.
According to police sources, the information was relayed by the Casualty Police at the hospital after the deceased was transported via the 108 emergency service from his residence. The exact cause of death remains unknown at this stage.
Authorities have confirmed that the body has been preserved at the South District Hospital morgue for medico-legal formalities, including a post-mortem examination, to determine the cause of death.
Further inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Kerkar’s death is being conducted by LPSI Aanushka Parab of the Margao Town Police Station.
More details are awaited pending the outcome of the medical examination.
