FATORDA: Goa Forward Party today threatened to Gherao Social Welfare Department for failure to deposit DSSS scheme money on time.
“The main objective of the DSSS scheme is to provide financial assistance to the most vulnerable sections of society. Will be forced to GHERAO the Social Welfare department, If Govt fails to deposit their dues in next two days,” said GFP Leader Durgadas Kamat
He further said that the BJP Government has time and again failed to deposit DSSS Pension for Senior Citizens and Widows on time.
“Ganesh Chaturthi is just 7 days away and still Government has not deposited their dues,” said Kamat
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant recently had said that all pending payments to beneficiaries under social schemes would be done by September 15.
“Be it Social Welfare, Tribal or Women and Child schemes. The pending money will be released to all the beneficiaries before or on September 15,” Sawant had said
He further said that his government is also working to grant additional sanction letters to various schemes.
