PANAJI: Dragon FC Margao secured a nail-biting 7-6 victory over Dangerous Boys Sao Jose de Areal via a tiebreaker to advance to the quarterfinals of the 5th All Goa 8-a-side Football Tournament, organized by the Davorlim Sports and Cultural Club at Laymati Ground, Davorlim.
The closely contested match ended in a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation time. Hanshlum Furtado gave Dragon FC an early lead in the first half, but Aryan Carvalho brought Dangerous Boys level in the second session.
With the deadlock unresolved in regular time, the match went into a tiebreaker where Dragon FC Margao held their nerve and emerged as the better shooters to book their spot in the quarterfinals.
