PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that over 100 couples have already registered for the IVF program.
“Over 100 couples have already registered for the initiative. This pioneering program makes IVF accessible and free, with treatment costs typically exceeding Rs 5 lakh,” said Rane.
Rane said that he was truly elated to announce that Goa is set to become India’s first state to offer free IVF treatment to couples aspiring to become parents.
“The initiative aims to provide essential medical facilities to ensure no couple is denied the joy of parenthood,” he added
Goa was the first state in India to provide free In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment from September 1.
This news has been welcomed by couples struggling with infertility, who will now have access to a full range of fertility treatments without having to worry about the cost.
