NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa President Valmiki Naik joined the Karapur villagers and activists at Jantar Mantar, extending his support to the ongoing protest against the proposed mega project, which completed 100 days.
Naik stood in solidarity with the protesters, who have taken their agitation to the national capital to press for the complete withdrawal of the proposed project.
During the protest, AAP reiterated its stand that if the party comes to power in Goa, it will cancel permissions granted to mega projects that face strong opposition from local communities.
Party sources also said that senior AAP national leaders are expected to join the Karapur protesters in New Delhi in the coming days to express their support for the movement.
