Panaji: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa unit has demanded a time-bound commitment from the BJP government for the upgradation of the ID Hospital, reiterating its promise to convert the facility into a full-fledged district hospital.
Addressing a press conference, AAP Goa Senior Vice President Sandesh Teleikar Dessai, Mahila Wing President Mamata Maben, and Ponda leader Geetesh Naik said that a memorandum had been submitted to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, urging immediate action on the issue.
The leaders stated that the BJP must be held accountable for its by-poll promise of upgrading the ID Hospital with improved infrastructure, including specialist doctors, modern equipment, a blood bank, and a critical care unit within a defined timeline.
Criticising the government for alleged neglect, AAP leaders stressed the urgent need to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the state and called for prompt steps to fulfil commitments made to the people.
