VASCO: An accident reported between two tankers left one person injured in the wee hours of Friday morning
According to sources, the accident occurred between two tankers, both carrying phosphoric acid from the port to Zuari Agro Chemicals, at around 2.30 am near Vales Junction Dabolim.
“Both the tankers were moving in a straight line, one behind the other, towards the Zuarinagar area, and the first tanker in front applied brakes suddenly to save three people on a bike who appeared from the wrong side, and the tanker behind crashed on the front tanker. The driver of the tanker behind faced a leg injury and was trapped in the cabin but was rescued. No loss of life was reported in the incident,” said the source.
