VALPOI: Police conducted a search of many homes in an attempt to seize firearms made in the nation because they suspected that other people were involved in the wild boar hunting that killed a young man in Nanus, Valpoi.
There were numerous firearms and other hunting weapons created in the country, according to the two accused who were detained in police custody over the course of the investigations.
Bicholim DySP Jivba Dalvi stated that the search was conducted at Nanus and would continue over the course of the upcoming months throughout the Sattari taluka.
We have reliable information that people are using domestically made firearms to hunt wild boar, so we will search every home. We urge everyone to give up these weapons; if they don’t, individuals detected in possession of them will face harsh consequences.
Since the authorities already know enough about who gave the accused the means to shoot wild boar because they wanted it for an event, more arrests are imminent.
“We will identify the individuals who wanted wild boar meat for a family gathering and who supplied the three accused with logistics, including a car,” Dalvi stated.
Samad Khan, a 22-year-old resident of Nanus, Valpoi, was allegedly shot and killed on Christmas Day. In order to kill a wild boar, Samad, his uncle, and a buddy had traveled to the Patwal, Sattari forest.
Babu Sanghar and Noor Ahmede Patel, both from Chinchmal-Mauxi, Valpoi, have been taken into custody by the Valpoi police. Two “illegal firearms” filled with cartridges and additional ammunition have been found by the police.
