PANAJI: In order to maintain our health, we are required to adopt best practices of hygiene and cleanliness stated Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant after launching ”Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Future,, programme at the function held at Sharda English High School, Bazarwada, Marcela Goa today.
The Goa CSR Authority, in association with Shri Mahakal Education and Charitable Trust (SMEC Trust) (Bharat Cares) and Colgate-Palmolive India Ltd. together organized Oral Health Awareness Session and Dental Check up for school children studying from 1st to 8th standard in all Goan schools at Sharda English High School, Bazarwada, Marcela.
The Chief Minister while addressing appreciated Colgate Palmolive India Ltd. for its initiative to partner with the Government in launching oral health, hygiene education programme covering around two lakh students across Goa. This dedicative programme, he said will cater to the need of taking care of oral health and hygiene of students as well. He advised the students to take up best practices of hygiene to emerge healthy citizens.
Managing Director & CEO Colgate Palmolive India Ltd. Ms. Prabha Narsimhan while speaking said that they are happy to partner with the Government to conduct the Bright Smiles, Bright Futures programme in the interest of the Goan students.
During the implementation of the project she said schools in Goa will receive oral health awareness sessions and dental kits for students studying from 1st to 8th standard from all Goan schools (1240 schools). Each student will be provided with a dental kit containing essential items to encourage good dental habits she informed.
