PANAJI: After Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) free power scheme and BJP’s free water scheme, now Goa Forward has promised to provide free education, security and health facilities for women in Goa if voted to power.
“We at Goa Forward promise that women of Goa will be entitled free education, health facilities and security for Women Safety if party is voted to power,” said Goa Forward Working President Kiran Kandolkar
He further said that GFP has now finalised 12 candidates for the upcoming elections and rest will be done in the coming days.
Speaking on alliance, Kiran said GFP President Vijai Sardesai is in talks with National as well as local leaders of the Congress Party.
“Discussion is going on between our president Vijai Sardesai with the Congress and the final decision will be taken in next few days,” he said
Khandolkar also said that the proposal of the alliance has been formally approved and now will have to sit and decide the modalities of the tie-up.
Goa Forward today also announced its State Executive Committee for the year 2021-24 under the Presidentship of Vijai Sardesai and Kiran Khandolkar as it’s Working President and Durgadas Kamat at the General Secretary (Organization).
Advocate Ashma Sayed has been elevated to the post of Vice President of the Goa Forward Party.
The GFP currently has three MLAs in the state Assembly, while the Congress is left with five, after 12 MLAs left the party to join the BJP.
