PANAJI: MLA Michael Lobo said the Anti-Conversion Bill will not come up in the ongoing Assembly session, stressing that the proposed legislation needs to be studied thoroughly before being brought before the House.
Lobo said all stakeholders should be taken into confidence before any decision is taken on the bill. He also emphasised that every religion is important and that all religions must be respected.
He said the government should adopt a careful and inclusive approach while examining the proposed legislation.
