MARGAO: Agxem Sports Club blank Unjirim United 3-0 to enter into the semifinals of the Batora United 9-a-side football tournament Organised by Batora United and played at St.Alex Church ground Curtorim on Friday.
Both teams played attacking soccer and had equal opportunity to score but Agxem sports club scored a brace by Alroy Gomes in the 20th and 25th minutes of play and remained 2-0 ahead at the half time
In the second session, Unjirim United tried to come back but their forwards struggled to convert the chances they got and Agxem Sports Club scored their third goal through Steven Fernandes in the 52nd minute of play.
Steven Fernandes of Agxem sports club was awarded man of the match for his outstanding performance on the field by Grandville Baretto club member of Batora United
