The AIIMS doctors, who are in Goa to oversee condition of AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik on Tuesday also visited the newly created GMC COVID wards as well as the ESI COVID hospital.
The team led by Dr Rajeshwary and Dr Ananth Mohan checked the arrangements made by the State government and suggested minor changes.
The team was assisted by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and GMC Dean Dr Shivanand Bandekar.
Dr Bandekar told reporters that said that AIIMS team has suggested some minor changes which will be done.
“The AIIMS doctors wanted HFNO machine and ultrasound machines, which have already been ordered. We are taking all steps to provide best treatment to Goans,” he said.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane lamented that the State is facing severe shortage of plasma donors.
“We have started facing shortage of plasma and it is my appeal to people to come forward and donate plasma as it can save lives. Only discharged people from COVID hospital can save lives,” he said.
