PANAJI: Former Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) Treasurer Ajay Kholkar has questioned the suspension order issued by RGP MLA Viresh Borkar, stating that the party constitution does not recognise the post of National President and that he will seek legal opinion on the matter.
Reacting for the first time after his suspension, Kholkar said the decision raises constitutional and legal questions within the party. He maintained that the RGP constitution has no concept of a National President and asserted that the matter would be examined legally before a detailed response is issued.
Kholkar alleged that the move indicates an attempt by Viresh Borkar to take control of the party. He also questioned the use of the party letterhead in issuing the suspension order.
