PANAJI: The State government has taken a policy decision to bring All Higher Education Institutes under a Single Academic Management System and also decided that all the Higher Education Institutes will go for NAAC accreditation.
The decision was taken at the Goa State Higher Education Council Meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
Sawant said the meeting discussed and deliberated on the implementation of NEP and multiple issues.
“It is decided that as part of implementation of NEP, Clusters of Colleges will be established for Multidisciplinary Education,” he said.
He also said that all Higher Education Institutes will come under a Single Academic Management System. “New structure of academic programs under NEP shall be implemented from next academic year,” he said.
Sawant said that a single scholarship portal will be developed. Single Training, Internship and Placement portal shall be developed for all Higher Education Institutes.
“All the Higher Education Institutes will go for NAAC accreditation,” he said.
