Panaji: Anaya Shukla, Tvisha Kotkar, Shaurya Dessai and Vanlalhriatpuii secured their places in the Girls Under-11 semifinals of the 1st All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament being held at UV Academy, Gomant Vidya Niketan in Margao.
In the quarterfinals, Anaya delivered a commanding performance to defeat Swara Gude in straight games, registering a comfortable 3-0 victory to advance to the last four.
Tvisha also booked her semifinal berth after overcoming Claire George 3-1 in a competitive contest, while Shaurya produced another solid display to beat Sanaz Shaikh by the same margin.
Vanlalhriatpuii completed the semifinal lineup with an impressive 3-0 win over Ronisha Sakhardande, sealing her place among the tournament’s final four contenders in the category.
Meanwhile, the newly introduced Girls Under-9 section, being held in Goa for the first time, has also reached the semifinal stage. Ronisha, Taisha Mehta, Swara and Claire have all progressed and will now compete for a place in the final of the historic inaugural competition.
