Ferrao, also Patriarch of East Indies was preaching Homily in the Highmass He presided after Blessings of newly constructed Santissmo Sacramento Chapel, A Sacristy and a garden in honor of Blessed Carlo Acutis at St. Anne’s Church, Agonda on Sunday.
Also present were Pilar Fathers Goa Provincial Fr Mathew Fernandes, SFX (an Ex-Parish Priest of Agonda), Agonda Parish Priest Fr Patrick Louis, Assistant Parish Priest Fr Baltazar Fernandes, Capuchin Father’s, Ordhofond Superior Fr. Newton were the co-celebrants of the mass.
Cardinal Ferrao invoking special prayers Blessed the Santissmo Sacramento Chapel, built into the Parochial House, adjacent to St.Anne’s Church calling upon the faithful to regularly visit and pray in the Chapel and placed the Holy Sacrament into a specially designed Chapel Altar in the replica of a Ship caught in Storm.
A garden with a memorie of Blessed Carlo Acutis constructed adjacent to the church providing entrance to the Chapel is also blessed hy His Holiness Archbishop Phillip Nery Cardinal Ferrao, and later went on to bless yet another newly constructed the Sacristy adjacent to church hall. Special payers were held for the peace and harmony for the people of Manipur.
Goa Provincial Fr. Mathew Fernandes read out the decree in the presence of members of Fabrica Da Igreja de Agonda, SMI(Sisters of Mary Immaculate) Sisters, Agonda, and other church bodies.
The St Anne’s Agonda Junior Choir led the congregation in the hymns and music.
