PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has said that the government’s “Mhaje Ghar” scheme is expected to benefit around one lakh people, making it one of the state’s key housing initiatives.
He appealed to eligible citizens to come forward and avail themselves of the scheme, which aims to provide housing support and improve the quality of life for beneficiaries.
Highlighting the government’s focus on public health, the Chief Minister said that more than 25,000 people have already benefited from the “Health with Ayurveda” initiative.
He encouraged the public to participate in health camps and undergo regular health screenings, emphasizing that preventive healthcare and early detection play a vital role in reducing disease burden.
Dr. Sawant also called upon citizens to refrain from setting up roadside stalls along highways, stating that such encroachments can create traffic hazards and increase the likelihood of accidents.
Maintaining clear highways, he said, is essential for ensuring the safety of motorists and preventing loss of life.
The Chief Minister urged public cooperation in making these welfare and safety initiatives successful for the benefit of the people of the state.
