ASSOLNA: Cuncolim police are investigating a case involving allegations of sexual assault and inappropriate contact with a minor child in Assolna.
According to a complaint lodged by the child’s father, whose identity has been withheld, the first alleged incident occurred in September 2026, when the accused allegedly took the child to a shed used for storing fishing nets at Assolna, pushed him onto a bench and sexually assaulted him.
The accused allegedly threatened the child against disclosing the incident to anyone.
The complaint further alleges that on October 9, 2026, at around 6.30 pm, the accused, identified as Augustinho Pereira, a resident of Assolna, lured the minor to an isolated, unoccupied house by offering him chocolate.
The accused allegedly took the child inside the compound of the house, kissed him on the lips and again threatened him against revealing the incident.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Sudan Bhosale of Cuncolim Police Station.
