MARGAO: A woman sustained fracture injuries after allegedly being hit by a speeding Bullet motorcycle while crossing the road at Aquem, Margao, on October 11.
According to a complaint lodged by Shamsunissa Shaikh, a resident of Navelim, Salcete, the incident occurred at around 8.30 pm.
The complaint alleges that the accused, Ismil Laxmeshwara, a resident of Rumdamol, Davorlim, was riding a Bullet motorcycle at high speed in a rash and negligent manner from Maruti Mandir Junction towards Power House Junction.
Upon reaching Aquem, Margao, the motorcycle allegedly dashed against Shaikh while she was crossing the road, causing her to sustain fracture injuries.
Further investigation is being conducted by ASI Ranjitkumar Dessai of Margao Town Police Station.
