PORVORIM: An attempted theft was reported at Prabhodan Education Society’s Prabhodan Prathamik Vidyalaya near Nana Nani Park, Porvorim, after an unidentified person allegedly broke open the school’s main door in the early hours of June 12, 2026.
According to a written complaint filed by Shrihari Athalye, School Executive Member of the institution, the incident occurred prior to 8:00 am at the school premises in Porvorim, Bardez.
Police stated that the unknown accused allegedly forced open the main entrance of the school and attempted to commit theft. However, the attempt was unsuccessful. Based on the complaint, Porvorim Police Station registered Crime No. 45/2026 under Sections 331(4) and 62 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
Further investigation is being carried out by ASI Sandeep Ghodge of Porvorim Police Station.
