Replying to a question tabled by Aldona MLA Adv Carlos Fereira, Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar said, the tariff was increased in 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25. “The Government has been providing budgetary support to the department every fiscal year for the past many years so that the overall revenue gap determined by the regulator is not passed on to the consumer in the form of tariff hikes,” he said.
