Villagers pointed out a huge scrapyard between the Dhavlim Petrol pump and the residential area. The scrapyard is jam-packed with all scrap material, including empty barrels used to store chemicals. Villagers demanded that the Central Water Commission revoke the permission granted to the revised Detail Project Report (DPR) submitted by Karnataka for diverting the Mhadei river water.
