Ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh by state and Rs 50,00 by the centre was announced for immediate family members of the victim. The state has seen 3,843 Covid deaths as of date. The government received 2,365 applications for receiving ex-gratia of these, 1,898 have been sanctioned, and payment has been cleared for 1,251 applications as of now.
