Goemkaponn Desk PANAJI: Even as the State’s COVID-19 daily positivity rate touches almost 14 per cent mark, the Government has ruled out imposing any restrictions within State at this moment. Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, while admitting that daily cases are crossing 250 mark said that the government is monitoring the situation. He said that for now there are no plans to impose any sort of restrictions. The chief minister however appealed people to follow all the necessary Covid protocols and ensure safety of each and everyone.

The drugs were found in a bag carried by him. The accused person was produced before JMFC Mapusa and remanded to 5 days Police custody. Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: Goa today reported 265 new COVID-19 positive cases. While there were 167 recoveries and 1 death reported. As per DHS health bulletin, 1 patient succumbed to the virus at GMC. The patient was referred to GMC in view of persistent dyspnea despite treatment and the patient having low oxygen saturation. The Rapid antigen test on admission at GMC was positive for covid infection. Despite optimum treatment the patient succumbed to the infection. Meanwhile, the total death tally is 835, the samples tested in the last 24 hours is 2057 and the active cases are now 2207.
