PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today has assured the newly elected ZP Members that Govt is seized with issue of devolving more powers to Zps. The CM also said that governemnt will hold training programmes for Zps through Goa Institute of Public Administration and Rural development (GIPARD) from 12-15 January 2021. The newly elected ZP members of North Goa and South Goa took oath today in the presence of Cheif Minister Dr Pramod Sawant. The CM also urged the ZPs to concentrateon human development keeping politics aside.

PANJIM: The State Government today has moved a proposal to build ‘Ambedkar Bhavan’ in memory of constition maker Babasaheb Ambedkar. PANJIM: A 46-year-old newlywed woman committed suicide by hanging herself in Anjuna. The victim, identified as Seema had tied the knot with Gaurish Chodankar at a temple in Anjuna, on Saturday. Police suspect that the incident occurred between 3am and 5am on Sunday. The police said the victim, hailing from Margao had an arranged marriage. Sub Divisional Magistrate has already begun an inquiry. A post mortem will be conducted on tomorrow.
