Team Goemkarponn Canacona: Disaster struck at Shristhal in Canacona after a highly corroded molasses tank partially collapsed during dismantling, releasing a large quantity of toxic waste into the open and triggering panic among residents. Team Goemkarponn Panaji: Collector of Kushavati District, Egna Cleetus, IAS, chaired the first meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC) to deliberate on claims received under the Forest Rights Act, 2006 from the Sub-Divisional Level Committee of Sanguem Taluka. During the meeting, a total of 37 claims from Bhati, Portem, Naiquinim and Villian villages of Sanguem Taluka were taken up for consideration and decision by the Committee.
