CANACONA: A Honda Activa scooter valued at ₹58,000 was allegedly stolen in broad daylight from the garage of a residence at Kolsar, Galgibaga in Canacona, police said.
According to Canacona Police, the theft occurred on June 29 between 10.30 a.m. and 11 a.m., when an unidentified person allegedly stole the scooter parked in the garage of a house belonging to Abel Barreto.
The vehicle, a Honda Activa, was reported missing shortly after the incident, prompting the owner to approach the police.
Based on the complaint, Canacona Police have registered a case under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against an unknown accused.
Police have launched an investigation and are working to identify the person involved in the theft. Further inquiries are in progress.
