Team Goemkarponn SURLA: In a violent incident, a 58-year-old ferry boat sailor was grievously injured at Surla Ferry Terminal when an assailant struck him on the head with a koita. The sailor, Ramakant Phadte of Volvoi, Ponda, was attempting to question the individual for verbally abusing the ferry staff. Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: The River Navigation Department, Betim, has announced that ferry services on the Old Goa route will be suspended from October 6 to November 19, 2025, due to repair work on the ferry ramp at Old Goa. During this period, four ferry boats will be redeployed on the St. Pedro–Diwar route and will operate according to the regular timetable. The department has requested commuters to cooperate and plan their travel accordingly to ensure smooth functioning of ferry services during the repair work.
