Team Goemkarponn SANCOALE: Madhukar Parab, 70, a resident of Mumbai, died after being crushed under a tanker in Sancoale. Parab was riding as a pillion on a bike driven by Akash Pawar when they were struck by a speeding tanker while on their way to Vasco. The duo had just visited a relative, Rakesh Gadpalye, near MES College for lunch. The tanker driver fled the scene following the accident. Parab, grievously injured, was rushed to Chicalim Cottage Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Verna police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations.

New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday held its key repo rate at 5.50% for the second consecutive policy review, as it assesses the effects of earlier rate cuts and recent tax reductions amid global trade uncertainties.
