PANAJI: Clarifying rumours, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today said that both the AYUSH hospital and Ribandar Health Centre will come up at the old hospital premises at Ribandar.

The State Government had decided to convert the old Goa Medical College (GMC) building at Ribandar into a 30-bedded full-fledged Primary Health Centre (PHC) to cater to medical emergencies of the residents of Ribandar, Chimbel, Merces, Divar, Old Goa and surrounding areas.
Later, the11-member core group of the Ribandar Health Care Committee on Sunday rejected the proposal of the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to convert the Old Goa Medical Hospital at Ribandar into a Primary Health Centre.
Advocate Aires Rodrigues, in a press release issued after the meeting stated that the committee was of the firm view on unanimous demand of the people for a fully fledged Health Centre at the old Ribandar Hospital with all possible medical facilities and health care services.
