BICHOLIM: The Bicholim Police have successfully traced and recovered 11 high-end mobile phones reported stolen or missing between May and June 2026 through sustained technical efforts using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) Portal.
The recovered mobile phones are collectively valued at approximately ₹2.66 lakh.
Following the completion of necessary verification and legal formalities, the police handed over all the recovered devices to their respective rightful owners. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Bicholim Police for the swift and efficient recovery of their valuable property.
The Bicholim Police have appealed to the public to immediately report any lost or stolen mobile phones and register their details on the CEIR Portal to improve the chances of tracing and recovering the devices.
Police also advised citizens to keep a record of their mobile phone’s IMEI number and promptly report any loss or theft at the nearest police station as well as on the CEIR Portal to facilitate faster recovery.
