Panjim/MARGAO: The BJP is treating women as commodity and their leaders have no respect for dignity and self respect for women charged GPCC President Girish Chodankar.
The culture of BJP of abusing Women has now reached every household of their functionaries, with Sons of their leaders now attacking and threatening young girls stated Girish Chodankar.
The attack on a young girl in Canacona by son of BJP leader exposes the high handed culture in BJP. The BJP leadership initially tried to protect the accused, but later arrested him after public pressure stated Girish Chodankar.
The arrest of the accused is just an eye wash. We demand that strict action needs to be taken against him by filing chargesheet with strong sections said Chodankar.
We also demand that police protection be given to the victim and her family as local BJP leaders are still threatening them.
It may be recalled that Canacona police had arrested Pratik Govind Naik, 21, resident of Passal-Ardhofond, Canacona on Thursday for outraging the modesty of a woman, abduction, assault and threatening with dire consequences. The accused person is the son of a prominent BJP leader from Canacona.
The BJP government is going slow on investigation against deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Kavalekar who had posted vulgar video on social media as they have no respect for women Girish Chodankar said.
