MAPUSA: In a fervent display of faith and hope, members of the Mapusa Bodgeshwar Shetkari Sangh, along with its leader Sanjay Barde, congregated at the revered Bodgeshwar Temple today.
Their purpose was to seek divine intervention and pray for the timely arrival of monsoon rains. With the month of June nearing its end and the absence of rainfall threatening agricultural endeavors, the farmers gathered in unity, placing their trust in the power of the Bodgeshwar God.
The parched fields of Mapusa have become a cause for concern among the farming community, as the monsoon season arrived but failed to bring the much-needed rain. Distressed by the situation, the members of the Bodgeshwar Shetkari Sangh resolved to take matters into their own hands and turned to their spiritual beliefs. Understanding the pivotal role of rain in the success of their farming endeavors, they sought solace and guidance from the deity worshipped at the Bodgeshwar Temple.
Mapusa Bodgeshwar Shetkari Sangh, expressed the farmers’ collective worries about the delayed monsoon. “The absence of rain at this crucial time has put our agricultural community in a precarious situation,” he remarked.
“Our livelihoods depend on the timely arrival of monsoon showers, which are vital for crop growth. That’s why we have come together today to pray and seek the blessings of the Bodgeshwar God, who has been worshipped for centuries as the provider of rain.”
Sanjay Barde, the leader of the Mapusa Bodgeshwar Shetkari Sangh, emphasized the significance of their visit to the temple. “Our farming community relies on the grace of nature for our sustenance.
The delayed monsoon has left us concerned, but we have faith in the power of our prayers. We pray to Bodgeshwar God, who has been a guardian of our farming traditions for generations, to bless us with rain for the betterment of our agriculture.”
