SALIGAO: Saligao Police have registered an unnatural death case following the death of a 78-year-old British national while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim.
According to police, Raymond Philip Gamble, a British national presently residing at Dando Wado, Olim, Nerul, Bardez, died during medical treatment at GMC. The case was registered under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, based on a wireless message and medico-legal case (MLC) received from the hospital.
Preliminary inquiry revealed that the deceased had been suffering from heart-related ailments for a considerable period and had been unwell prior to his hospitalisation.
Police said there is no suspicion of foul play in the death. The Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Panaji, has been informed about the incident.
Further inquiry is being conducted by PSI Dishan Naik of Saligao Police Station.
