Goa Speaker too garlands Pt Nehru portrait in a low key celebrations at an Anganwadi in Amone (Poinguinim)

CANACONA: In a low key celebrations Canacona congress and Canacona MLA/Speaker holds different programs amidst children in remote areas of Khotigao and Poinguinim villages to mark the birth anniversary of first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru observed as Children’s Day.
Congress in association with Jawahar Bal Manch (JBM) celebrated Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Birth Anniversary and Childrens day with different games and competions including Rangoli competitions for the children of Khotigao and gave away prizes and awards to the winners.
The celebrations were held at the remote area of Madeshiwada, Avali, Khotigao, actively took part by several children of the village of Khotigao.Drawing competition, Rangoli competition, besides some oth3er games were held to entertain the children, where also the youth and some elderly people joined . Some performed Traditional Dances .
AICC incharge for JBM Mrs.Pelija Raposo, Goa State co-ordinator for JBM Mrs.Annie Fernandes, Canacona Block Congress President Abel Tome Borges, South Goa District Congress Committee Gen.Secretary Gaspar Coutinho and several other congress workers were present, and later took lunch alongwith the participating children and womenfolk of the village.
In a low key affair, Canacona MLA and GLA Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar, also took part in a program organised by Anganwadi children of Amone (Poinguinim), Tawadkar garlanded the portrait of Pt. Nehru to pay his tributes to the First Prime Minister of India on his Birth Anniversary
