QUEPEM: Two persons sustained injuries after a Tata Nexon allegedly collided with a Honda Shine motorcycle at Kusman, Quepem, on August 15, 2026.
According to the complaint filed by Sankalp Gaonkar of Quepem, the incident occurred around 12.30 pm when accused driver Vasant Lamani, a resident of Haveri, Karnataka, was driving the Tata Nexon from Guddi towards Quepem.
Police said that upon reaching Kusman, Lamani allegedly drove the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner while overtaking another vehicle and dashed against the Honda Shine motorcycle being ridden by Sankalp Gaonkar, who was travelling with his father, Dilip Gaonkar.
Due to the impact, Sankalp and his father fell onto the roadside and sustained bodily injuries.
Further investigation is being conducted by ASI Sandeep Velip of Quepem Police Station.
