VASCO: Vasco Traffic Cell PI Shailesh Narvekar on Friday said the car involved in the fatal accident reported at Shantinagar on Friday afternoon was challaned on three occasions, including one challan for overspeeding in the past.
“It is indeed a tragic incident as a 68-year-old pedestrian lost her life due to a road mishap after she was hit by a speeding car while crossing the road. The Car (GA-06-E-6700) involved in the accident today has been challaned in the past as well for traffic violations.”
“The car was challaned on three occasions and one challan was on charges of overspeeding last month,” said Narvekar.
