SANKHALI: A theft of ₹80,000 in cash was reported from a wine store at Jogadyachi Halli, Sankhalim, Bicholim, after two unidentified persons allegedly broke into the premises during the early hours of June 11, 2026.
According to a complaint lodged at Bicholim Police Station by Mahadev Prakash Naik, 29, a businessman and resident of Jogadyachi Halli, the incident occurred between 2:20 am and 2:50 am at S. M. Naik Wine Store.
Police said the two unknown accused, acting with common intention, allegedly gained entry into the wine store and stole cash amounting to ₹80,000 in different denominations before fleeing the scene.
A case has been registered, and PSI Shridhar Kamat of Bicholim Police Station is conducting further investigation.
