PANAJI: MLA Michael Lobo said no conclusion can be drawn about the substance seized at Colvale Jail until its chemical analysis confirms whether it is actually a narcotic substance.
Lobo said the seized material must undergo scientific testing before any definitive claim can be made regarding its nature.
He also ruled out any political nexus in the matter and maintained that there should be no political angle attached to the seizure.
Lobo stressed that anyone found involved in drug-related activities will face strict legal action, including arrest, prosecution and imprisonment, as per law.
