PANAJI: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar today informed that he has received a notice from a Mumbai based law firm, “Yashas Legal” in a bid to put pressure on him for exposing the sex scandal.
“I have received a notice from a Mumbai based law firm “Yashas Legal” in a bid to put pressure on him for exposing the sex scandal. I will not bow to any such pressure tactics and also will not reply to the notice,” said Chodankar.
He further said how a victim can file a complaint against a powerful minister in the BJP led state government cabinet.
“Why is the Chief Minister not acting on the Minister inspite knowing the truth. The poor victim has no say and is totally helpless against such a powerful minister,” he added.
Chodankar said that a minister in the Goa government is involved in a sex scandal, and by misusing his ministerial status, he has been sexually harassing a woman.
“When a minister misuses his status and his power in government and sexually exploits a woman, this is a serious issue,” Girish claimed
Chodankar also alleged that the Chief Minister was aware of the multi-media evidence against his Minister and claimed using the state police force to destroy it.
“The issue had reached the Chief Minister. The CM has seen the videos and audios. He has also seen the WhatsApp chats. The CM has seen all the photos, and I was surprised that when such material about a Minister comes to the CM, he continues to protect him,” Chodankar said
