PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has commended Goa Police for carrying out a landmark intelligence-led operation against organised cyber fraud, resulting in the dismantling of an inter-state network operating across 11 states.
The operation led to the arrest of key accused and uncovered 313 mule bank accounts allegedly linked to cyber fraud involving more than ₹2.5 crore, marking a significant breakthrough in the fight against cybercrime.
Congratulating the entire Goa Police team, the Chief Minister praised the force for its professionalism, dedication and coordinated efforts in cracking the organised fraud network.
Dr. Sawant reiterated that the State Government remains committed to ensuring a safe, secure and cyber-resilient Goa. He also reaffirmed the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards cybercriminals and said strict action would continue against those involved in online financial fraud and related offences.
