PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant felicitated accomplished Vedic scholars of Shree Kshetra Tapobhoomi Gurupeeth for their academic achievements and contribution towards preserving and promoting India’s ancient knowledge traditions.
Congratulating the scholars, the Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Padma Shri Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji, they have excelled in Vedic studies, Sanskrit, Darshan Shastra and Yogashastra, bringing pride to Goa through their achievements.
Dr Sawant felicitated Dr Dnyaneshwar Patil for earning a Ph.D. in Sanskrit, Vedamurti Dattaraj Mandrekar for completing a Master’s degree in Darshan Shastra, and Vedamurti Vrajesh Gurav for obtaining a Master’s degree in Yogashastra.
He also honoured Vedamurti Tanmay Patil, Vedamurti Harsh Aroskar, and Vedamurti Balkrishna Chavan, who were conferred the prestigious titles of Rigveda Vibhushan and Yajurveda Vibhushan.
The Chief Minister said that preserving India’s ancient wisdom forms the foundation of a strong and culturally rooted society. He expressed confidence that the young scholars would continue to inspire future generations and contribute towards the vision of a Viksit Bharat rooted in India’s rich civilisational heritage.
